Chupra has been our family home for over 50 years, with 3 generations spending holidays in St Mawes.
As a sailing enthusiast my father bought Chupra in 1973. Over the years he & my mother added a porch and extra bedrooms. His dream was to add a second floor to make the most of the stunning views over the bay. During 2024 we were able to achieve his dream by developing Chupra into an amazing upside down house. We had the help of some truly talented trades people from The Roseland, and we believe they have achieved our vision for Chupra.
We think Chupra is a very special home and we are delighted to be able to share it with you.
We are so pleased to be able to share our beautiful new Chupra with you, by making it an "upside down" house, we have been able to have access to the most beautiful views across the bay towards Falmouth
Chupra now has a large open plan living area upstairs with two bifold doors onto the balcony, with an outside sofa and dining table for 8. A beautiful fully equipped kitchen at one end, a dining table for 8 and comfy seating around the log burner at the other end. Chupra has lots of spaces to sit and relax and enjoy the amazing views.
Downstairs Chupra has 4 bedrooms, 2 doubles with en-suites and 2 bedrooms with zip & link beds. and a family bathroom. Three of the bedrooms have direct access to the downstairs terrace. There is a small TV snug with French Windows onto the terrace where there is a BBQ and outside dining table for 8.
St Mawes is a small fishing village nestled at the end of the Roseland peninsula. St Mawes is a lovely place to visit, surrounded by the sea and gentle hills, it is quite spectacular, not only beautiful beaches and sea views there are beautiful local gardens throughout the Roseland to visit.
St Mawes along with the Roseland Peninsula, and the surrounding area is a Mecca for boating and yachting.
Of course being right on the seafront these villages are also a haven for the gastro enthusiast, with restaurants and pubs serving up superb fish and shellfish dishes all year round as well as the more traditional dishes. There are also many pubs, a handful of shops, and a ferry to take you to Falmouth, its a perfect place to relax.
